Myrewood – The Resurgence
Lyrics by David Williams
Relentless horde of ghastly beasts
Nightmares unseen for fifteen years
From a time when we thought
we wouldn’t see another day
Haunted and scarred from our deeds
The Myrewood is no longer what it used to be
For us to defeat our enemies,
The innocence of the forest had to pay
We have brought this on ourselves
To live, we unleashed hell
This Resurgence is coming after us
And we don’t how it can be undone
The elves said it’s useless to attack
But we knew from many years back
They warned us of our sins
From that wretched night many years ago
We thought we wouldn’t see this day
Hoped after that night, we’d be safe
But we traded one enemy for another
This one from the unknown
We have brought this on ourselves
To live, we unleashed hell
This Resurgence is coming after us
And we don’t how it can be undone
From the mists of the Myrewood
A pale creature comes walking forth
Covered in twisted faces of agony
Bringing our destruction beneath its feet
Soldiers flee from where they stood
Magical fire flies with no recourse
Out of its mouth comes a thousand screams
And we know we face our reckoning
We must pay for what we’ve done
This endless cycle must have an end
